From Raw Research Data to a Submission-Ready Dissertation

The Client Brief & Initial Challenge
A detailed academic format had to be converted into a manageable workflow.
The project began with a clear dissertation format brief. The client required the complete academic sequence from front matter and literature review through methodology, statistical analysis, results, discussion, conclusion, limitations, implications, future research, references and a final data sheet. The expected length was around 60 pages, and the Results section had to contain SPSS tables together with concise explanations of what each table meant.
• Document the research tools with administration, scoring, interpretation, reliability and validity.
• Keep methodology, hypotheses, analysis and written interpretation aligned.
• Complete table of contents, page numbering, appendices and binding-ready front/back matter.
• Avoid treating SPSS output as a separate file detached from the dissertation narrative.
Understanding the Study Before Analysing the Data
The statistical approach was anchored to the research design and measurement tools.
STUDY FRAMEWORK

SPSS Analysis & Results Interpretation
The raw output was organised into an academic results story.
The final Results chapter reported a combination of demographic comparison, reliability testing, descriptive statistics, correlation and regression. The objective was not merely to display software output, but to explain what the numbers meant for the research questions and hypotheses.
•Independent-samples t-tests for gender differences in Psychological Capital, mental well-being and job performance.

•Cronbach’s alpha reliability analysis for the three measurement scales.

Supervisor-Style Revision Cycle
After the main analysis and dissertation draft were assembled, the client forwarded a focused correction list. The requested changes went beyond language polishing and directly affected the credibility and presentation of the research.
• Add in-text citations in relevant areas using Zotero-supported referencing.
• Place a clear source line under SPSS analytical tables.
• Remove duplicated references and include valid links/DOIs where required.
Supervisor-Style Revision Cycle
• Attach the calculation sheet in the annexure/appendix.
• Check R-square reporting and the citations for PCQ-24, WEMWBS and the Job Performance Self-Report Scale.
• Make the Discussion and Conclusion more precise before the final supervisor check.
Finalization, Output & Submission Readiness
Once the corrections were incorporated, the project moved into finalisation. The focus shifted from isolated chapters to the complete submission package: results and interpretations had to sit correctly in the dissertation, citations and references had to be consistent, supporting reliability/calculation material had to remain accessible in the appendices, and the front matter and table of contents had to be ready for printing.

The Client Journey: From Draft to Binding
The case-study evidence shows a practical end-to-end journey. First, the required dissertation structure and approximate length were confirmed. Next, the dissertation and data sheet were shared for analysis. SPSS outputs and interpretation were integrated, followed by a targeted correction round. Finally, front matter, appendix, page numbering, table of contents and binding requirements were addressed.
SPSS SOFTWARE OUTCOME
The statistical analysis demonstrated strong reliability, with a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.991 across 25 items. Descriptive statistics showed mean scores of 2.1453 for psychological capital, 2.1171 for wellbeing, and 2.7440 for job performance. Regression analysis indicated a strong and statistically significant relationship between psychological capital and wellbeing (R = .977, R² = .955, p < .001). Overall, the findings suggest that psychological capital was strongly associated with employee wellbeing, while the additional statistical tests supported further assessment of demographic and work-related characteristics.
